The Elephant Polo tour of Thailand was preceded by intensive practice sessions in Singapore.

Practice commenced in a kid's playground, which is part of Trapper's condo complex, at 11am
one Saturday morning. Practice sessions for the season were wrapped up at 11:45am on the
same day after security spat the dummy.

Tonnes of elephants line up for the opening ceremonies. Team member Tantalize is holding
the team's 'Jolly Roger' flag on the extreme left.

Shirts for spectators (modelled here by the team) and the green baseball caps were
kindly donated by the recruiting firm Robert Walters. Titillate, ever keen for a photo
opportunity, has turned around to face the camera when she was supposed to be
paying homage to Jumbo.

"A Passage to India" inspired Tantalize into the reclining position while
Tenga, fresh from Mahout school steers the pachyderm.

Tickle and the Ivories revealed their uniform design to the waiting throng of
international paparazzi at an evening cocktail function. From left to right we have
Tiger, Tenga and Trapper.

The team's minivan driver for the week (Benjamin) voluntarily adopted a team name
(Toto) and can be seen on the extreme left of the photo.

Having missed the team bus yet again, Trapper decides to make the most of the
rest of the day by attempting to make a few new friends on the side of the field.

In one of the great drubbings of international sport, the Ticklers solidly walloped an
upstart team from Perth, Australia called Elements. Despite their graphite fibre sticks,
ring-ins and cocky attitude they were soundly beaten. It is no surprise that this page
will feature more than one photo of this historic win by the Ticklers. Tiger can be seen
going for the ball through the loop created (deliberately) by the elephant's trunk.

Same game. Did we mention that we won this one ? Trapper can be seen here
fighting off a hooking infraction by the cheating bastards.

Tantalize, one of the world's best female players tries to get close as Top Talon
gains control.

Fresh from victory (or perhaps this was another day) the team relaxes with some
really bizarre cocktails made with Scotch. Note that Titillate is so worried by rumours
of 'Nemo Hat Snatchers' on the grounds that she has refused to undo her chin strap.

A fine team tent filled with a fine team and some of the world's best supporters ...

On the night of the masked ball, the ambient humidity reached 100%. The average
mask was worn for about 15 seconds. The Ticklers had supporters fly in from Sydney,
Hong Kong and Singapore for the final weekend. The one in the middle with the
sombrero is Spanish so his strange pose is not all that unusual.

The Tickle's primary team tent and massage facility was very popular with spectators
and many can be seen in front of it.

Just to show that we're a sporting bunch, we've included a solitary picture of other
teams playing. Here the Germans and the Thais duke it out at the throw in.

Team Tickle decided to wear their Nemo hats to the final prize giving just in case
they hadn't done enough damage to their reputations during the week.
